Towards the end of 1992, Cheergem Ltd. established the first ever large scale processing factory of Chinese Akoya Pearls in China. Japanese technology and machinery were introduced to transform Chinese Akoya Pearls into a most-sought after product in the world market, most competitive in quality and price to its Japanese counterpart.
At present, we are by far the leading processor in China and ranks among the top Akoya Pearls processor in the world. Our factory employs over 200 workers producing more than 10,000 pearl strands and large quantity of half-drilled loose pearls per month. Sizes range from 5mm to 7.5mm and prices for one 16" strand range from US$20 to US$500 and loose pearls from US$16 to US$60 per momme. Apart from white / pink pearls, we also have golden yellow and blue / grey pearls available.
